From the unforgettable lake, it's only a short drive to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Despite its small size, it features a wealth of cultures, activities and sights including the breathtaking Ljubljana Castle overlooking the city and dating back to the 16th Century.
Ljubljana to Budapest
Departing Ljubljana we journey across the border into Hungary. The drive along the way is full of rolling hills, vineyards and the largest lake of the region, Lake Balaton. Once we reach the eclectic city of Budapest, we will spend the evening dancing away at one of the legendary ruin bars.
Blessed with an abundance of hot springs, and known to cure a macskajaj (hangover), start the day 'taking the waters' in Budapest at the famous Szechenyi baths. From there roam the city streets to spot historic remains, new flamboyant architecture, taste Hungarian goulash or take a leisurely walk along the Danube.
Budapest to Belegrade
Leaving Budapest we make our way to the capital of Serbia, Belgrade. Known as the "White City", this gritty exuberant city is considered one of Europe's most happening. Where the Sava and Danube Rivers kiss, discover the lively pedestrian boulevard of Knex Mihailova, the ancient Belgrade Fortress, Savamala quarter and Kalemegdan Park.
Belegrade to Mostar
On our final day we journey into a beautiful slice of the past, Mostar. This enchanting and historical town in Bosnia-Herzegovina has stunning religious buildings with Roman and Ottoman influences but the main landmark is the majestic stone arc of Stari Most Bridge.
