New Zealand truly has something for every traveller. It is an especially wonderful destination for thrill-seekers, adventurers and nature lovers alike. In a country filled with beautiful nature spots, it’s impossible to definitively say which are the best. Though, we certainly think the following three locations are up there in the running.

Sight seeing on a New Zealand holiday - Natural wonders to absorb

Marvel At Milford Sound’s Serene Beauty On New Zealand Holidays

After spending just a few seconds surrounded by such beauty, you will very quickly come to realise why. Milford Sound is regularly referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. Tucked into the Fiordland region of New Zealand’s South Island, Milford Sound is utterly delightful in every single way.

In a place where dolphins leap through glassy waters and the mountainous landscape provides the most perfect rugged backdrop, it’s pretty much impossible not to fall head over heels in love and never want to leave.

The Waitomo Glow-Worm Caves

We genuinely don’t think that North Island New Zealand holidays are ever truly complete without visiting Waitomo’s glow-worm caves. Not only are the caves themselves absolutely stunning, it’s how the resident glow-worms softly illuminate the space and almost mimic the constellations of the night sky. This is something seriously special.

You can abseil, raft, or even crawl your way around this spectacular natural labyrinth, which adds so much to the whole experience and guarantees that this will be a day you won’t ever forget.

Aoraki Mount Cook National Park

Mount Cook, New Zealand’s highest peak, stands at more than 12,000 ft and is so impressive it even has an entire National Park named after it. And deservedly so: it’s an icon and a national treasure.

There’s an array of walks and trails to enjoy and explore. You can also hike glaciers and marvel at the effortlessly spectacular Lake Tekapo. The iconic Church of the Good Shepherd is also worth a visit, as is a spot of stargazing across some of the clearest and brightest night skies you’ll ever experience.
