Far North Escape

Did the North Island tour with Tom. I had an amazing time! It was really great to just relax and have everything organised for me. It was also exciting to travel with people from all over the world.

Great tour! The week was jam packed with activities, there was a lot of driving but that’s expected when you’re doing the whole of the north island in 7 days.
I thought all the accommodation was really good, and really enjoyed the activities I chose to do. Tom was great also 😊

Just wrapped my first Wild Kiwi week on the Northern route with Tegan as our guide…and wow, what can I say except wow. I’ve travelled for a long time, and been on a lot of tours, and I can easily say this will stick in memory for a lifetime. I revisited a lot of New Zealand that I’ve seen before or activities I’ve done, but this trip will be lasting awesome memories because of the vibe of everyone on the trip and atmosphere Tegan created. Her knowledge and passion of Māori culture, but also all indigenous cultures everywhere, stood out so much. Really made an impact on the trip itself. Places weren’t just places and activities weren’t just activities, this Wild Kiwi trip around the North Island just made it so much more. Hard to put it all into a review really. Hats off to you Tegan for all the energy and passion you bring, don’t ever change! And never let the eel dance die. 😂 Good luck on further adventures!!! To the group that unfortunately had to split up a bit after this week, you all were amazing people to share in an adventure. Sad for this trip to end…but here’s to the next two weeks!

I undertook the 3 week New Zealand Discovery tour and could not recommended it more! If you’re looking to explore the highlights of the north and south islands, particularly as a solo traveller, this is the perfect way to do it. All our Wild Kiwi tour guides were incredible and truly made the trip memorable, always sharing great information about the areas and activities, educating us on Māori culture and taking time getting to know everyone. A huge thank you to Tegan, Daisy and Ben for being such talented guides and all round awesome people. Personal highlights include swimming with wild dolphins in Kaikoura, sunrise kayaking at Cathedral Cove and the Franz Josef helihike! I’ve ended the trip with a bunch of amazing new friends and the best memories of Aotearoa.
