Many tourists forget about Auckland when travelling this spectacular country, but even Auckland has its gems.

Wild Kiwi’s Auckland Adventurer takes you to the highlights of the Auckland region. First, up Goat Island, stopping at Matakana to check out the farmers’ market along the way. Goat Island is surrounded by an incredible Marine reserve brimming with vibrant fish. You can choose to explore it in a clear kayak, giving you a unique perspective of the fish below. Alternatively, you can also choose to do a short hike to a lookout point, with terrain that changes quickly from beach to bush. After some exploring, your guide will take you to a small country town called Leigh.

For lunch, a Kiwi classic – fish and chips (or as we Kiwis call it, ‘fush and chups’). You’ll get enjoy this on the Matakana coast as you exchange stories and experiences with your friendly fellow travellers. Then, it’s off to Piha. You’ll get to explore the volcanic black sand beach, hike up to look-out points and catch the last rays of sun on Lion Rock as the evening approaches.

Following an exquisite afternoon at Piha, it’s time to head back to the city filled with memories of Auckland’s stunning landscapes that you’re sure not to forget.
