Saturday / DAY 1
AUCKLAND – RAGLAN

First stop on the North Island, is Raglan. The stunning rugged landscape and black sand beach of Raglan is home to one of the world’s longest left-hand break with its laid-back, hippie attitude – there’s nothing like it. What better place to try your hand at surfing or if surfing isn’t your thing why not spend your time exploring the little bohemian town’s boutique shops and cafes?

Sunday / DAY 2
RAGLAN – TAUPO (via Waitomo)

After all that beach action it’s time for more water. Waitomo – a town better known for what’s beneath it….Crawl, abseil, raft and squeeze your way through the dark abyss, lit only by the twinkling light of the glow worms above – there are tons of ways to explore this incredible natural labyrinth. After all that adventure it’s time for a beer by the wonderful Lake Taupō.

Monday / DAY 3
TAUPO

After a breakfast with a view, you’ll have the day to explore the lake from the water’s edge or 15,000ft above it!! Up to you. Spend the day conquering the Tongariro Crossing or jetboating, sailing, exploring and bungy-jumping – you’ll be spoilt for choice in Taupo! After an exciting day, wind down over a glass of wine or a craft beer from a local brewery and tell your fellow travellers all about the awesome things you have been doing.

Tuesday / DAY 4
TAUPO – ROTORUA

Today we’ll leave New Zealand’s largest lake behind for warmer waters; welcome to the geothermal centre of NZ – Rotorua. There’s heaps to do here – check out the bubbling mud pools at one of the geothermal parks, walk around the lake or even hike or bike the stunning Redwood Forest just on the edge of town. Looking for adventure? Check out luging, zorbing or give white water rafting the mighty Kaituna River a go.

wednesday / DAY 5
ROTORUA

Today is your day to explore all those activities you haven’t had time to do in just one afternoon. Let your guide plan an awesome day for you and give his personal recommendations on what you can do. For those Lord of the Rings fans, this is your chance to try your luck at spotting a hairy-footed miniature man at Hobbiton, with a trip to the world-famous movie set.

Thursday / DAY 6
ROTORUA – COROMANDEL

After breakfast, we prepare for a beautiful drive to the stunning Coromandel Peninsula. We have a few scenic stops and short walks before we arrive at the coastal town of Hahei. Explore the astounding Cathedral Cove, made famous in the Chronicles of Narnia as the Gateway to Narnia. You can spend the afternoon kayaking, snorkelling or swimming in its crystal clear waters. After you’re done searching for the Land of Narnia, we’ll watch the sunset from our natural hot pools on Hot Water Beach.

Friday / DAY 7
COROMANDEL – AUCKLAND

Today could be your last day on the North Island so let’s make this a good one, we explore some hidden treasures on this lush and picturesque part of the North Island as we make the journey back to Auckland. We aim to arrive at the airport around 4 pm in time for a 6 pm flight to Christchurch. After such an epic week we hope you are ready for the South Island!

Saturday / DAY 8
CHRISTCHURCH – HANMER SPRINGS

After breakfast and a good catch up with your guide, we travel up the coast to beautiful resort town Hamner Springs. The ultimate destination for adventure, relaxation and indulgence, this picturesque alpine village is full of exciting things to do. Best known for its natural hot pools and stunning landscapes, you’ll get the chance to try out all of those outdoor adventure activities that NZ is famous for, before indulging in the famed 20+ natural hot pools surrounded by native trees.

Sunday / DAY 9
HANMER SPRINGS – KAIKOURA

The next stop on your tour is the passionate community of Kaikoura. There are very few places in the world that can boast of such natural wonders as those offered by land and sea in Kaikoura. The dramatic, rugged cliffs on the edge of town are as impressive as the whale watching and dolphin swimming. Make sure you get some time on the water and experience some of NZ’s most abundant sea life.

Monday / DAY 10
KAIKOURA – ABEL TASMAN (Via Picton)

After a morning swim, we venture up the coast. We’ll explore the Marlborough Wine Region and have a sip or two of it’s world-famous Sauvignon Blanc before heading through the seaside town of Picton and off towards arguably New Zealand’s most beautiful National Park, Abel Tasman. This little piece of paradise can be explored in so many different ways: by kayak, water-taxi, walking or sailing. There are so many things to do, but don’t worry, we have plenty of time here to see the best spots.

Tuesday / DAY 11
ABEL TASMAN

After brekkie, you can spend the day sunbathing and enjoying the beach. Or, if you are feeling adventurous, then join us on a hike and discover why we think this National Park has some of New Zealand’s best beaches. If you are lucky you may get to see some of NZ’s exciting native wildlife such as the Tui and the Tuatara. Fancy something a little more hair-raising? Try out the only skydive in New Zealand that allows you to see both the North and South Islands or give Abel Tasman’s canyons a go!

WEDNESDAY / DAY 12
ABEL TASMAN – westport

After a scenic drive through Nelson lakes and possibly a morning swim, we head down the West Coast to the former mining town of Westport which is situated on the edge of the Paparoa National Park. Spend your day seeking out glow-worms, black water rafting, giving surfing a go or doing a coastal walk to see the local seals. After a busy day, wind down with dinner and a cold one before heading to your accommodation for the night.

Thursday / DAY 13
westport – HOKITIKA

We leave Westport behind this morning and head to Hokitika. Before we get to Hokitika, we’ll stop off at Punakaiki to explore the natural blowholes and pancake rocks and Paparoa National Park. As we head into the old gold mining town of Hokitika, you’ll discover that it has turned into something of a west coast must see with amazing arts and crafts, pubs and café’s and not to mention the friendly locals. A trip here wouldn’t be complete without seeing the stunning turquoise gorge and a cheeky swim.

Friday / DAY 14
HOKITIKA – CHRISTCHURCH

Don’t feel sad about heading back to Christchurch, we are taking you across one of the most scenic drives in New Zealand. Arthurs Pass takes us up and over the Southern Alps with views to die for. We have plenty of distance to cover today but we will have plenty of exciting stops before we arrive back into Christchurch.
